AWWA C509 Cast iron Gate Valve

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT :
    ● Design and Manufacture  Conform to BS5163
    ● Inspection &Test API598
    ● End Standard ASME B 16.5 150LB
    ● Face To Face AWWA C509/C515/BS5163/ASME B16.10/ISO5752

Hydraulic testing by ADF&G C509 ensures strong performance under pressure.

Valves are UL/ULC listed and FM is approved, providing additional safety and reliability.

Compliance with American National Standard/National Science Foundation Standard 61 ensures the safety of materials in contact with drinking water.

Also approved by American National Standard/National Science Foundation Standard 372, which emphasizes the use of lead-free components.

The coating meets AWWA C550 standards - electrostatically fusion bonded epoxy coating inside and out for excellent corrosion resistance. This fusion-bonded epoxy coating is applied prior to assembly, ensuring that both the interior and exterior surfaces of C509 and C515 valve castings are fully protected. By insulating the individual valve components, the coating forms an effective barrier against corrosive elements, significantly extending the lifespan of the valves. Unlike metal-seated C500 valves, which were based on the same wall thicknesses but lacked epoxy coating, the C509 and C515 models benefit from this advanced protective measure, ensuring superior durability and performance.

In addition to the protective coating, these valves have a range of features designed to enhance strength and life:

Cold-pressed, rolled threads: Threads are individually cold-pressed to increase strength and ensure smooth edges, which reduces operating torque.

Yield Strength and Material Selection: These valves are designed to exceed AWWA's yield strength requirements, eliminating the problem of bent or broken stems. Wedges are made of ductile iron and are fully encapsulated in EPDM rubber for optimum corrosion protection and precise tracking.

Corrosion-resistant components: Stainless steel packing gland bolts and bonnet bolts provide corrosion resistance. To further protect these components, the bonnet bolts are countersunk and capped with hot melt adhesive to isolate them from the corrosive environment.

O-rings and sealing systems: Dust rings prevent contaminants from entering the stem, and a series of O-ring stem seals reduce friction and wear. These seals are replaceable at full pressure, and additional o-rings protect the upper stem from waterway contaminants.

STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY AND HANDLING: Ductile iron gland flanges are designed to withstand excessive torque without breaking or cracking and feature cast lugs for easy handling.

Rigorous Testing: Each valve is rigorously tested to 250 PSI/500 PSI as required by AWWA standards to ensure reliability and performance under pressure.

Rising Stem Gate Valve Pn25 are used in the fields of urban water supply, industrial pipeline oil, gas, chemical industry, steam, agricultural irrigation, etc. They are characterised by simple structure, stable performance and good sealing.

VALVE WARRANTY 2 YEARS, UNCONDITIONAL REPLACEMENT FOR QUALITY PROBLEMS.
